
TikTok is a social media short video service founded in 2016. It has become a global hit and accumulated over 2 billion app downloads. The service already has a million monthly users in Finland. TikTok has gradually opened its advertising program internationally. Companies and marketing communications agencies are selected to join the program. Troot has now been accepted into TikTok's validated advertising program, which enables both paid advertising and influencer marketing on TikTok in Finland and internationally.
Troot's CEO and strategist Joona Haatainen is excited about the new service. "Over the past year, we have done influencer marketing with several pioneering brands and created their own TikTok channels for brands. We are really pleased that we were able to join as pioneers to also offer TikTok's advertising solutions to our customers in both Finland and internationally," says Haatainen.
There are two ways to buy advertising on TikTok. TikTok Ads is an advertising management system through which TikTok advertising can be purchased on an auction basis. Another option is reserved TikTok advertising, meaning advertising can be booked with daily pricing that includes a guaranteed number of impressions. In addition, TikTok offers a Creator Marketplace tool through which collaborations with TikTok influencers can be booked. This and other advertising formats and systems are available internationally in selected markets, but not yet in Finland.
