As a result of Troika and content creator Daniel Ahola's collaboration, the "Police and Robbers" series produced for Ruutu this year is nominated in the Golden Venla gala's Program of the Year category! Additionally, Daniel Ahola himself is nominated for Performer of the Year.
The hugely popular series has been one of the most-watched series on Ruutu in autumn 2023 and has sparked widespread interest among audiences. The series cleverly and entertainingly combines humor, unexpected twists, and suspense, as Finnish faces familiar from social media and television escape Daniel Ahola's police team in Finland's largest cities – with a prize pool of 1000 € at stake, of course.
Daniel's Police and Robbers format, originally known from YouTube and later adapted to a streaming service, breaks the boundaries of linear television through its production methods, script, and character-driven concept. The feedback we've received confirms that audiences of all ages enjoy the series.
